The news you’re about to read isn’t confirmed yet, it’s just a bunch of assumptions based on several tweets. The fact that Arctic Monkeys have gone a little bit off the grid as compared to how active they were only a couple of months ago makes fans think that maybe the guys are busy working on new material, locked somewhere in a studio. And oh, how nice it is of musicians to have moms and dads all active in social networks, ready if not to give precise answers, but at least to hint what their superstar kids are busy with nowadays.

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders’s mother Jill Helders tweeted the following in reply to band’s US fan club:

Desert… first thing that pops to my mind is the image of The Killers boys out in the deserts of Nevada, but Mrs. Helders was probably talking about the Arctic Monkeys guys being out in the desert, working on a new album. Considering that the band mentioned that they’re planning on making their next album a lot heavier, we can take our assumptions even further and guess that the said desert has got to be American.

Arctic Monkeys released their last as of this moment album Suck It And See back in 2011.
