HBO’s Game Of Thrones season two finale is not so far away, and as the tension goes wild in the series, we get more and more topics to talk about. Brooklyn-based The National contributing a song for series, for instance. The official soundtrack compilation for season two is yet to be released after the series go on hiatus till next year, but The National’s song has already surfaced online and you may listen to it below.

“Game Of Thrones: Season Two” OST is due out on June 19 and is composed by Ramin Djawaldi, with only exception being The National’s rendition of The Rains of Castamere, a song that will be playing during a very important battle involving the Lannisters later this season. We won’t say more to avoid the spoilers, but hey, there’s only two episodes left ahead, so it shouldn’t be that hard to wait a bit to know it all, right?

The National are also involved in another fantasy-themed news these days. Band’s frontman Matt Berninger has narrated an iOS app for children called Dragon Brush based on an old Chinese tale. As quoted in the press release, Matt thinks the story has all his favorite things: “Waterfalls, magical dragons, and the sound of my own voice.” The app also features score by The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, as well as artwork by John Solimine who’s worked with the band before.
