As promised yesterday, The Killers were to premiere a new song today, in the evening of July 10, on air of BBC Radio 1 during Zane Lowe’s show. However, the track surfaced online earlier than that and is already available for streaming.

Runaways is the first single off band’s upcoming album, Battle Born, set to be released on September 17. As SPIN quotes, band’s frontman Brandon Flowers doesn’t like to pay much attention to what people think of their music: “I see every album as a reaction to the album before it. Sometimes it’s a reaction to the critics, which is ridiculous. I shouldn’t listen so much to what they say. But I don’t write songs to try to make them happy. We write songs that we like to play.”
