Muse will perform at Olympics closing ceremony

According to NME, Muse have confirmed that they will play the Olympics closing ceremony this Sunday, August 12, performing Olympics official song Survival.
The line-up of enormous event is still kept in secret. Webzine reports that only Muse, Ed Sheeran and George Michael confirmed about performing although there are other names circulating, including The Who, Take That, Spice Girls, Kate Bush.
In other news, Muse announced the first single off their upcoming album The 2nd Law. Entitled Madness, the single will be released worldwide on August 20. Also The 2nd Law release date was pushed back. It will be out on October 1st.
