Nine Inch Nails

Back in 2009 Trent Reznor announced that his main band, Nine Inch Nails, was taking a hiatus, and turned his attention to composing soundtracks with Atticus Ross (The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, to name a few), as well as to working on his new project, How to destroy angels_. And when this year How to destroy angels_ announced an EP, many of us were reading through the lines of Trent’s announcement and interpreting them as if there’s some hint of a hope for Nine Inch Nails fans, too.

Now Trent Reznor finally revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that he’s working on new NIN material: “Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works,” he said. And when talking about possible touring plans with Nine Inch Nails, he replied: “Yeah, if it feels right, it’s a possibility. I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I’ve enjoyed [them] and I’m enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It’s a different kind of work.”

How to destroy angels_ is set to release An Omen EP on November 13, with band’s debut LP following sometime in the first quater of 2013.
