Interpol frontman Paul Banks is going to release his new solo album this October.

New record will be entitled Banks and will be out on October 23 on CDs and digitally. It will contain 10 tracks.

The first single off the album is The Base. It’s already available for your listening pleasure and free download. See below.

Banks was recorded in New York with producer Peter Katis who works with Interpol, The National. According to Matador Records, it will sound like our “favorite Interpol albums”.

Paul Bank’s debut solo album, Julian Plenti Is… Skyscraper was released in 2009.
