Soundgarden to release new album in November

Blabbermouth reports that the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine features an interview with Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, revealing the release date of band’s yet untitled new album – November 13.
Talking about the new record guitarist said: “It re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy, and we’re still a little weird”. Upcoming album will feature tracks like “Blood On The Valley Floor” and “A Thousand Days Before”, the latter of which “has a little Indian thing and some chicken-pickin”, Thayil says. “We call it ‘country and eastern.’”
Soundgarden reunited in 2010 and have obviously been working on new record. The band contributed a track to The Avengers movie earlier this year. The song is called Live To Rise.
This new album will be the first since Down On The Upside, released in 1996. Soundgarden split up in 1997 and since then band members were busy with different other projects, including Audioslave led by vocalist Chris Cornell.
Since 2010 reunion Soundgarden did a number of shows and hinted on new album on different occasions.
