The Prodigy’s next album will not be dubstep
In an interview for Zane Lowe at BBC Radio 1, Liam Howlett of The Prodigy mentioned that despite the fact that band members do indeed love dubstep, it’s still not their game.
In Liam’s words, they always had respect for the masters [of dubstep] who do their game, those boys who do that sound. “We know what we do, and when any Prodigy record hits it’ll still feel fresh”, said he.
The band is planning to release new album in second half of 2012, but there’s a chance a new single will be out earlier.
The Prodigy have news ideas and are to record 20 songs. Then they’ll select the best out of those. At the moment, their main worry is developing the sound.
Band has already planned several shows for 2012. They’ll take part in English Download festival where they’ve promised to play few new songs.
And band’s vocalist Keith Flint revealed recently that the band will organize Warrior’s Dance festival in Serbia this year.
