The Stone Roses

As The Stone Roses announced yesterday, on October 10, they’ll keep on playing gigs in 2013, too. The band already confirmed several shows in March, all during Australian Future Music Festival. Here are the dates for newly-added concerts:

March 2, 2013 Brisbane: Doomben Racecourse
March 3, 2013 Perth: Arena Joondalup *Labour Day Weekend
March 9, 2013 Sydney: Royal Randwick Racecourse
March 10, 2013 Melbourne: Flemington Racecourse *Labour Day Weekend
March 11, 2013 Adelaide: Bonython Park *Adelaide Cup Day

One of the Madchester sound founders, The Stone Roses formed in 1987 and split-up in 1996. After 15 years of hiatus, the band reunited in 2011. Their gig in Heaton Park became the quickest sold-out concert in history and brought them a Guinness record: the total of 220.000 tickets were sold out in merely 68 minutes. Meanwhile, talks of new album are still in the air.
