Aw, how good the animated music videos can be! Especially those with cats and a sun made of yellow leaves.

US-based Wilco released their latest album The Whole Love nearly a year ago, back in September of 2011. And only few days ago they revealed the music video for Sunloathe, one of the songs featured on the album.

Directed by Peter Glantz, the video consists of 100 images made by band’s drum technician Nathaniel Murphy. The animated film sets an ambiguous mood, or, in Peter Glantz’s own words, it “reflects the complicated emotions expressed in the song, where we feel hope and sorrow coexist.”

P.S.: Pay closer attention to the beginning of the video, with torches and pitchforks.
