Spiritualized posted a video for their latest single Little Girl. Directed by Vincent Haycock, it follows “a young female runaway who steals her dad’s money and motorcycle to escape the god-forsaken, post soviet demise small town in which she lives”. You can watch the video below.

The video was shot in Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany, at the border of Poland and Germany. The main hero is played by Chesca Miles, one of the UK’s top female stunt riders. The video features other stunt riders as well, Julian Pohl and Eastside Xtremes from Germany among them.

The official statement from Noisey on YouTube says that “during the course of the three day shoot there were only 2 crashes, a wrecked bike, a near-death tank rattle, 12 burnt-out tires, a broken whipped cream charger, and a near arrest after police caught producers filming a high speed tracking shot on the autobahn into Berlin at 4am”.

Little Girl is taken from Sweet Heart Sweet Light, the latest album of Spiritualized. The first video to be published from the album was brilliant Hey Jane, about a troubled drag queen.

Little Girl single is due out on August 6 via Double Six label.
