The Killers are back with their new album Battle Born. The record is due out on September 18, and to celebrate this important event, the band will play a live concert for a webcast. And the gig will be directed, no more, no less, by Werner Herzog.

This is the 11th installment of American Express Unstaged series which gathers musicians and directors for webcasts. One of the latest webcasts featured Jack White and was directed by Gary Oldman.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, The Killers bassist Mark Stoermer said: “He [Werner Herzog] has ideas for someone crowd-surfing with a camera on. He’s gonna put cameras on Ronnie [Vannucci, Jr.] while he’s playing drums.”

The Killer’s performance will be streamed live from the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, New York at 8:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT on September 18th. You can watch it on YouTube and amexunstaged.com.
